Dr. Theobald teaches courses on the spatial analysis of protected areas, landscape ecology, and ecosystem management, as well as courses in natural resource applications of GIS. Dave conducts research on landscape change, conservation planning, and accessibility related to recreation use, especially in the Rocky Mountain West. He is a Research Scientist at the Natural Resource Ecology Lab, Department of Natural Resource, Recreation and Tourism, and Associate Professor in the Department of Recreation & Tourism in the College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University.
